92-94 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): “The 2017 Volnay 1er Cru Les Carelles is a beauty, bursting with notes of rose petal, violet, dark chocolate, wild berries and ripe cherries. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, elegant and concentrated, its ripe core of fruit displaying lovely energy and succulence, framed by fine-grained, elegantly chalky tannins and concluding with a long finish.
