Description
93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): “Disgorged this spring, the 2015 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Terre de Vertus offers up generous aromas of stone and orchard fruit mingled with hints of buttery pastry and blanched almonds, reflecting the ripe, sunny profile of the vintage. Full-bodied, rich and vinous, it’s a muscular, fleshy rendition of this cuvée that will need a bit of time to settle down after its recent disgorgement. Right now, it can’t quite match its less weighty and more chiseled 2014 and 2013 predecessors. Drink: 2021-2035. (Jan 2022)”
93 points Lisa Perrotti-Brown (The Wine Independent): “The 2015 Terre de Vertus Premier Cru is 100% Chardonnay, disgorged on 15 June 2021 and with zero dosage. Pale golden in color, it sails out of the glass with expressive scents of honey-drizzled apricots, almond nougat, and baked apples, followed by touches of lime leaves, crushed rocks, and chamomile tea. The very dry palate is electric with intense stone fruit and pure apple flavors sparked by mineral and citrus fruit accents, lifted by a laser-precise line of acidity, finishing zesty with the slightest intriguing touch of quinine-like bitterness. This is very distinctive! Drink: 2022-2035. (11/3/22)”
92 points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): “[$103 list] The 2015 Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs Terre de Vertus 1er Cru is a brilliant wine that combines textural richness and energy. The aromatics are a bit muted today, but that should not be an issue in a few months. All the 2015 needs is time. The Terre de Vertus is a blend of parcels in the Barillers and Faucherests lieux-dits. As always, the Terre de Vertus is vinified in neutral oak of various sizes. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: April, 2021. Drink: 2021-2028. (Nov 2021)”
