91 points Jeb Dunnuck: “[$25 list] In addition to the pricier single vineyard releases, this estate also produces a terrific value-priced Pinot Noir. The 2016 Pinot Noir J.L. Bonaccorsi reveals a translucent ruby color as well as complex notes of spiced cherries, dried earth, candied violets, and forest floor. Elegant, silky and seamless, it has fine tannins, nicely integrated acidity, and a beautiful finish. It’s a no-brainer introduction into the wines of this estate. While it’s half the price, it’s certainly more than half the quality. (10/31/19)”

WHWC Staff Notes: “Bright red fruit aromas are complemented by slight hints of forest floor and mushrooms. This is a racy, elegant, high-toned gem. The palate displays very fine grained tannins, along with vibrant acidity. It treads a fine line towards a village Chambolle profile, but quickly veers back squarely into the cool climate, California character that we’ve all come to know and love from this wine. Once again, it’s going to be a crowd favorite.”
