Viña Progreso Sueños de Elisa Open Barrel Tannat 2011

This is soft and expressive on the nose. Great density and polished in the mouth, with jammy red and black fruits, spicy lush oak, married to the meaty, smoky flavor characteristics of Tannat. Good integration of oak and fruit, the finish is long, complex, and memorable. This wine goes well with roasted meats: lamb, pork, game, casseroles, pasta with strong sauces; ham, sausages, and hard cheeses. Miniscule production of 1,000 bottles.
