90-92 points Joe Czerwinski (Wine Advocate): “The barrel-fermented and aged 2018 Vin de France Chasselas comes from vines planted by Raymond Trollat’s grandfather prior to World War I. When the Gonons acquired the vineyard, they agreed not to remove the vines. Notes of fennel, lime, honey and tangerine mingle easily in this medium to full-bodied white. It’s fleshy but with an edge of tension and freshness that gives it great length on the palate. Drink: 2020-2023. (Jan 2020)”

Dry, chewy and focused on the palate, offering pear, peach and orange pith flavors that deepen through the midpalate. Finishes with very good, floral-tinged persistence, leaving a hint of bitter peach pit behind. Drink: 2021-2025. (May 2020)”
