Description
91-93 points William Kelley (Wine Advocate): “Offering up notes of plums, warm spices, orange rind and raw cocoa, the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Bousselots is medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with a charming core of fruit and a long, penetrating finish. A touch richer than the Chaignots this year, it will offer a broad drinking window. (Jan 2021)”
91-93 points/’Outstanding,’ Allen Meadows (Burghound): “(from a .60 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines). A more restrained and earthier nose displays more discreet oak on the ripe plum, dark cherry and newly turned earth scents. There is a beguiling sense of verve and underlying tension to the reasonably refined flavors that are shaped by firmer tannins on the lingering finish that is a bit less youthfully austere than it usually is. Good stuff with excellent development potential. Drink: 2031+. (Jan 2021)”
91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW: “Black centre purple rim. This is better balanced than Chaignots, with a sweetness of dark cherry fruit, a few tannins behind, attractive harmony here with very good length. The aftertaste works well in the mouth. (Nov 2020)”
