Description

96 points/’Top 100 German Wines 2019,’ Stuart Pigott (JamesSuckling.com): “The richest and boldest of Keller’s 2017 GGs, but it also has great structure and a powerful, mineral and herbal finish. Although it is already showing plenty of citrus character, a lot more will come out if you’re patient. Drink in 2019. (12/12/18)”

94-96 points Mosel Fine Wines: “This cask sample of 2017er Dalsheimer Hubacker GG (tasted back in March 2018) offers a gorgeous nose of cedar, citrus, grapefruit, tangerine, flowers, pineapple, coconut and smoke. The wine develops great presence on the palate with good density, a touch of power but without any undue weight. The finish proves intense and zesty. The after-taste is full of spices and enhanced by a delicate and animating touch of tartness. This admirable Hubacker has great potential. 2027-2047. (Oct 2018)”

94+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): “The yellow limestone base of the Hubacker vineyard is so evident in the 2017 vintage, as the very low yields give this element a central role in the aromatic and flavor profile of this beautiful young wine. The bouquet wafts from the glass in a lovely mix of blood orange, a hint of the mirabelle to come, smoky overtones, wild yeasts, lemongrass, citrus peel and a glorious base of yellow limestone minerality. On the palate the wine is deep, full, complex and very transparent, with a lovely core, excellent grip and mineral drive and a very long, focused and nascently complex finish. A great young Hubacker. 2027-2085. (May/Jun 2018)”
