Description

93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): “Light colour with a green tint. This is discreet but with some power, especially at the back end. First sign of a little Mirabelle fruit but it is not too ripe and is supported by good acidity. A little peach touch to finish. Tasted: October 2021. (Dec 2021)”

92 points/’Outstanding,’ Allen Meadows (Burghound): “(from La Jacquelotte, which is a climat within Champ Canet with only two owners; from vines planted in 1966). Ripe, fresh and layered aromas present notes of citrus zest, just sliced apple and a background nuance of mineral reduction. There is excellent vibrancy to the delicious medium-bodied flavors that exhibit very fine length on the youthfully austere, focused and balanced finale. This would benefit from having better depth but given the mid-palate density, more should reasonably develop. Drink: 2027+. (Jun 2022)”

Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): “(90% Clos de la Jacquelotte, planted in 1966). Another tight nose – quite narrow but with a clarity and suggesting class. Extra mineral, a lovely texture and depth to this fleshy wine – that’s top – bravo! (Nov 2021)”
