Description
‘Very Good,’ Steen Öhman (Winehog): “Next up is the Domaine Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin 2019 village – a large cuvée of 32 barrels, although the volume pales beside 2018’s 56 casks! This is also a clear step up in quality from previous vintages; a splendid wine, very lively and vivid, and an amazingly good village. Bravo! I adore the fine acidity and freshness. Drink From 2026. (7/10/20)”
Bill Nanson (Burgundy Report): “(10 different parcels assembled – east Gevrey and vines near Brochon – over 3 ha from the domaine’s 8.5 ha.) Again plenty of aromatic depth, but the nose is rather tighter above. Fresh, wider than the Bourgogne – silkier too. Nicely growing intensity and supple in the middle – this is elegant, pure and very accessible. Lovely wine, holding very well too! (Jan 2021)”
