Description
The 2022 Malagouzia Kalogeri is unoaked and comes in at 12.5% alcohol. If you want to see why Malagouzia is such a popular grape, this is a good example. I’m not so sure how well it will age, but most won’t care. It’s irresistible now. It’s typically aromatic and flavorful, especially in its youthful exuberance. This is also a cut above because of the good structure. The acidity nicely lifts the fruit and this is refreshing too. Many of them, by contrast, can seem flat. Today, this is lovely. It does have to hold serve nicely for a few years to fully justify my enthusiasm, but let’s lean up on the evaluation today.
