Description
Origin: Santiago Queirolos vineyards in Ica Valley about 30 mil south of Peru’s capital Lima. The orchards the Andes foothills about 60 km from the Pacific Ocean and at 500 meters above sea level. Desert climate with large temperature difference between day and night. Light and deep soil with a significant content of magnesium. The grapes are harvested by hand in March-April 2011frn drip irrigated 6-year-old seedlings with a withdrawal of 7000 kg per hectare. Vinification: Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Alcohol content 14.5 vol. %. Storage: In stainless steel tanks. 40% of the wine is stored in French oak barrels for 6 months Description: Intense ruby red color. Fresh aromas of black currants and cherries from Malbec grapes and the plump and ripe aroma of Merlot grapes. Elegant harmonious wine with soft tannins.
