Sasa Radikon has taken the reins of the family’s winery after his pioneering father, Stanko, passed in 2016. He has stayed true to his father’s winemaking style, but put his own personal little tweaks in … and he’s really come into his own, making wines every bit as magical as his father’s. The main change seems to be slightly shorter maceration times … so, while his wines still have intense energy and texture, the fruit is more vibrant and bright. Slatnik is exploding with tangy golden-orange fruit over profound minerality.
