Description
92-95 points/’Don’t miss!’ Allen Meadows (Burghound): “(from a 2-ha parcel of very old vines – Bessin is not exactly sure how old they are but he claims they are the Domaine’s oldest vines; 20% of the blend was vinified in oak). Here the wood treatment is more discreet and easily allows the sea breeze, quinine and citrus-inflected aromas to be appreciated. There is once again very good size, weight and volume to the intense, mineral-driven and overtly powerful flavors that already possess excellent complexity on the superbly long and well-balanced finale. This too is clearly built-to-age and a wine that’s going to need at least some. In short, this is terrific and well worth searching out provided you have the discipline to cellar it for at least a few years. Drink: 2029+. (Nov 2020)”
