Description
90 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): “Boudignon’s intensely yellow colored 2015 Anjou Blanc is concentrated and ripe on the nose that releases slightly herbal or Mediterranean notes. Round, rich and juicy, a bit more open or even oxidative than the 2016 and with firm yet slightly bitter tannins, this is a remarkably different wine compared to its successor. The 2015 was still made in the old building, which might be a reason too. Drink: 2021-2030. (Oct 2021)”
17/20 points Richard Hemming MW (Jancis Robinson): “Vanilla and cream on the nose, with some buttery notes too. The fruit fights back on the palate, giving quince and apple and lemon – lots to enjoy here. Searingly dry finish, but not austere thanks to the generous fruit. (Jun 2018).”
