Description
The Léoville Poyferré is a blend of 65% cabernet sauvignon, 26% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 3% cabernet franc. The wine displays a wonderful floral complexity with notes of lilac, violet and lavender balanced beautifully by a lovely concentration of cassis and blackberry fruits. On the palate the wine is juicy and silky with a fabulous interplay of ripeness, texture and freshness. There’s enough depth and structure to improve over the next 20 years with proper cellaring.
