Cocchi Americano Aperitivo NV

Producer notes: “Made to the same recipe since 1891, this extraordinary aperitif wine has long been a staple of Asti. It is Cocchi’s estate wine infused with a blend of herbs, fruit and spices, most notably geian, cinchona and citrus, and laid down for a year before release. In Piemonte it is served with ice, a slice of orange and a splash of soda to bring out all its fragrance and depth. Given the long tradition of its style, Americano Cocchi became a preferred element of many classic mixed drinks.”

Cocchi Americano is generally considered to be the nearest contemporary drink to the original recipe Kina Lillet and is often used as a substitute for it in cocktails such as the vesper martini and the corpse reviver #2.
