A complex, assertively perfumed bouquet evokes ripe red and dark berries, potpourri and anise, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Smooth and broad on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering spicy black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that put on weight with air. Fine-grained tannins sneak up slowly on the long, focused finish, which leaves notes of candied flowers and spicecake behind.”
