Producer notes: “Dos Maderas PX is the product of a triple aging process. First the rum rests for 5 years at its place of origin, in the Caribbean, then it is moved to Williams & Humbert facilities in Spain, where the rum is subjected to two more phases of aging for a period of 5 years. On arrival, the rum is transferred to American oak casks which have previously held ‘Dos Cortados’ Palo Cortado Sherry and subsequently to casks which have been used to age ‘Don Guido’ Pedro Ximénez. Both Dos Cortados and Don Guido are of an average age of 20 years, guaranteed and certified by the D.O. Jerez-Xérès-Sherry. This fusion of cultures brings about the perfect harmony, balance and blending of aromas and flavours which make Dos Maderas PX a truly unique rum.”
