94-96 points Jasper Morris, MW: “Fine glowing crimson purple with a really well-balanced nose, was delicate when just Faiveley but the Dupont sector brought more clay and more weight. It is certainly ripe but it is also totally in balance, giving a pure and concentrated deep red fruit with some spices round the edge, and as always for this vineyard that mineral feel at the finish. Tasted: November 2019.”

94 points Tim Atkin, MW (Jan 2020).

94 points Bruce Sanderson (Wine Spectator): “[$140 list] Charming and classy, this red is lush and saturated with black cherry, blackberry, earth and a hint of tobacco flavors. It’s balanced, turning firmer midpalate, with powdery tannins lining the tangy finish. An accent of iron creeps in at the end. Best from 2024 through 2042. 270 cases imported. (2/17/21)”

94 points James Suckling: “Tantalizing aromas of ripe strawberries, violets and cherries with some light bark. Medium-to full-bodied with firm, very silky tannins that are extremely polished and fine. Love the balance and focus to this. Try after 2022. (8/17/20)”

92-94 points Fine Wine Review: “Floral nose. Medium-weight, sappy dark fruits, light on palate, long. Good example of Cazetiers. (11/25/19)”

92-93 points Steen Öhman (Winehog): “Gevrey-Chambertin did well in 2018 … and the Les Cazetieres from Faiveley is no exception, although its slight reduction currently brings the oak out somewhat. It’s mineral and rather masculine, and perhaps does not quite have the sensuality of the Lavaux. Needs time… Drink from 2032. (11/14/19)”
