Description
94 points Fine Wine Review: “Crisp, acidic, crystalline, still young, but very promising. Very good density and concentration. (10/3/21)”
93 points Stephan Reinhardt (Wine Advocate): “The 2020 Rüdesheim Berg Rottland GG VDP. Grosse Lage opens clear, deep and flinty on the precise, intense and classical nose. On the palate, this is a vibrantly fresh, stimulatingly saline and grippy dry Riesling with intense fruit and a texture that is not as lush as the corresponding Rieslings from Hochheim. The Rüdesheim Rieslings are precise, crystalline and fresh and always biting a bit, especially the Berg Rottland, which is a lower site of the steep Rüdesheimer Berg. Persistently salty and uplifting saline. 12.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in June 2022. Drink: 2022-2045. (Jun 2022)”
