The Helios distillery in subtropical Okinawa is best known for rum. Their super-limited foray into whiskey is aged in US white oak and finished in rum casks–why waste all that brown-sugary goodness? You’ll find a rich, malty flavor, smoky, with flashes of brown sugar, toffee, chocolate, and candied ginger. Pure malt = all barley.
