This is the finest and most seductive nose of the feinherb or green-capsuled 2018 Rieslings, and it can’t be any more attractive. On the palate, this is a medium-sweet to sweet, very intense, tight, long, complex and sustainable Auslese with rich yet precise, highly finessed and elegant fruit walking on a crystalline catwalk that gives very fine slate grip and tension. The wine’s body is self-building up from its inner depth and leads to a persistent, very long and aromatic finish whose substance and freshness indicate fantastic aging potential. I am not sure, but in its sensual and seductive character, the 2018 is reminiscent of Molitor’s corresponding 2006. Tasted twice at the domain in September 2020. Drink: 2030-2060. (Oct 2020)”

The wine is beautifully balanced on the suave palate, where ripe orchard fruits mingle with mineral and herbal elements. The after-taste proves complex and beautifully multi-layered.
