Don’t let the roughish nose fool you, because massive amounts of flavor await in the glass. From golden raisins to oolong tea, with a bit of wasabi zip on the finish and a touch of pepper, this is lovely and complex. Water makes it chewier and brings out a bit of leather and lots of wood, all while keeping its balance. A whisky with guts. – Fall 2025
