Description
Not yet reviewed; 2016 vintage rated 88 points by Luis Gutiérrez (Wine Advocate): “Faithful to its name, the 2016 Joven Roble shows lots of oak aromas (‘roble’ is the Spanish word for oak) along with creamy and lactic notes. It has a round and lush palate without the freshness I was expecting from a 2016. It could do with some more acidity. Drink: 2018-2020.”
Producer notes: “Made exclusively from Tempranillo. Visually, the wine has a clean, bright cherry colour. It has an intense floral and red forest fruit bouquet with a mild lactic note and hints of vanilla left by its exposure to the oak (150 days). In the mouth, the texture is full, elegant, long lasting and velvety, without losing any of the intensity of young wines from the Ribera del Duero region.”
