Description
91 points Charles Curtis, MW (Decanter): “From an old-vine parcel in the Champ Forey lieu-dit, in the village. The wine has a very ripe fruit character, reminiscent of ripe apricots touched with honey, although it was picked at modest sugar levels. There is less of incisive Aligoté character here and more of the imprint of the winemaker. The grapes are whole-cluster pressed and fermented on native yeasts in used casks, then aged for one year. Drinking Window: 2021-2026. (Oct 2020)”
‘Outstanding/Top value,’ Allen Meadows (Burghound): “Firm reduction dominates the nose today though there is fine freshness and verve to the racy and almost painfully intense flavors that are shaped by lemon-tinged acidity on the bone-dry and youthfully austere finale. This is also very good and recommended. Drink: 2023+. (Jun 2021)”
