91-93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): “The 2017 Marsannay En Clémongeots comes from 40-year-old vines, 50% whole bunches, and had been racked the week prior to my visit. There is lovely ripe raspberry and strawberry fruit on the nose, which is a little more floral than the La Montagne. The medium-bodied palate offers candied orange peel on the entry, fine weight and grip and a tang of spice toward the lively finish. This is an excellent wine from Sylvain Pataille. Drink: 2020-2030. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, layered and succulent, with a charming core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins. Located at the northern border of Couchey, this east-facing site is characterized by shallow clay soils over limestone. Drink: 2022-2037. (Feb 2020)”
