Reverdy/Pascal & Nicolas Sancerre Rosé Terre de Maimbray 2020

While Sancerre is usually known for its chalky white wines, Pinot Noir represents 20% of the vineyards planted in this AOC. The cool climate makes for elegant, lacy rosés that are mineral-driven. Located on steep hills, this family-run estate is thought to be one of the finest Sancerre producers. From old-vine Pinot Noir, this rare gem is a lovely faded pink, with a perfumey, floral nose and strawberry and cherry on the palate.

Sharply delineated on the palate, offering juicy strawberry, cherry and tangerine flavors that deepen as the wine stretches out. Concentrated yet lively in style, finishing with emphatic, mineral-dominated persistence and a late touch of honeysuckle. Drink: 2020-2024.”
