Russell’s Reserve Store Pick Single Barrel 2025 [Tyr-M Floor 4, Barrel #25-0543]Nose: baked apples and rich cocoa-laiden oak. A subtle note of fresh cut grass lurks deeper into the heart of the nose. The palate kicks off easy with low heat and roasted sweetcorn. Earthy rye grain, and rich caramel join after a beat with subtle hints of the grassiness from the nose. A touch of star anise arrives very late into the palate.The finish sees all heat and fullness falling away fast, leaving behind vanilla and bold toasty oak with a touch of spice pleasantly nipping at the corners of the palate. Pokes of warming cinnamon come thru on the breath throughout this medium length finish.
