Description

93 points Neal Martin (Vinous): “The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Les Crays, which will be a Premier Cru from the 2020 vintage, has a gorgeous blackcurrant leaf and even strawberry tinged bouquet, ripe and generous with orange pith and peach skin aromas emerging after 4-5 minutes. The palate is very well balanced with a slightly honeyed texture, touches of marmalade and quince, very powerful with a caressing, weighty and persistent. Just three barrels were produced, so do keep an eye out for this cuvée as it is very impressive. Drink: 2024-2040. (Nov 2021)”

93 points La Revue du Vin de France: “Les Crays is a perfect mineral and pastry duo. The palate offers a full but fresh character, its controlled richness and its oak are well framed by the terroir. (2022)”

91-93 points Jasper Morris, MW (Inside Burgundy): “Used to be Le Haut des Crays, but has now been renamed just Les Crays with the arrival of 1er cru status next year in mind. Not fined yet so fuller primrose colour. Concentration and power here. Steely through the middle, but clearly a sunshine site. A very convincing wine nonetheless in its sunny, but not too heated state. There is a vein of clay here which helps. Fine long succulent finish. (Sep 2020)”
