Description
92 points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): “The 2019 Lieu à Dit Harth bottling of Riesling from Bernard Schoffit has also been certified organic this year. It hails from fifty year-old vines in the Harth vineyard in Colmar and is slightly riper than the 2018 version, coming in at 13.5 percent alcohol this year. The wine is beautifully expressive on the nose, jumping from the glass in a mix of apple, tangerine, a hint of petrol, complex minerality and a floral topnote. On the palate the wine is precise, full-bodied and generous on the attack, with a lovely core, excellent mineral drive and cut, bright acids and a long, complex and superbly balanced finish. This hints at a touch of sweetness on the attack, but it is misdirection, as the wine finishes quite dry. Lovely juice. 2021-2050. (Jul/Aug 2021)”
91 points Wine Spectator: “A bright, harmonious white, light-bodied and well-knit, with a pretty range of nectarine, verbena and pickled ginger notes that show an underlying streak of salinity. Very charming, but with good drive and tension throughout. Drink now through 2026. 15 cases imported. (2021)”
