Description
97-100 points Jeb Dunnuck: “Not yet bottled, the 2019 Claude’s Cuvee is another sensational wine in the making and reminds me of Syrah from the pure granite portions of Hermitage. A blend of 58% Syrah, 21% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache, and the rest Tempranillo, mostly from the G2 Vineyard, it’s made with cool-climate style in mind and sees plenty of whole cluster in the Syrah and is brought up in a mix of new and used barrels. Incredible aromatics of blackberries, smoked game, crushed stone, and leather give way to a full-bodied, seamless, multi-dimensional red that has perfect balance as well as the structure and depth to evolve for 15+ years. It’s a true ‘Wow’ wine. (9/30/21)”
