Pouring this wine into my glass I am immediately reminded of my 18 years of making wine in Washington state. I am instantly hit by a bouquet of blackberry, sagebrush, bay leaf and espresso beans. It opens up to express the lighter side with red raspberry, red delicious apples and hints of vanilla. The palate is graceful and elegant with flavors that match the aromas, black fruit and savory spice. It enters with a broad pillowy tannin that glides across the tongue. It effortlessly falls to express a smooth and lush mid-palate.
